The season runs from December trough January which encompasses the rut. Now January is, by far, the most popular month and, of course, books up the soonest. However, for years December has produced the most trophies. 

In Sonora you will be hunting rugged country covered with cacti and tangled brush. This environment is challenging, but the payoff is that it is truly remarkable habitat for the trophy mule deer and coues deer.

Sonora Desert Mule Deer

We’ll have an early start 5:00 am, an American-style breakfast, then head to the hunting areas with an assigned guide on a 1x1 basis. The hunt will be a combination of walking, horseback or vehicle. The guide will care for your binoculars, canteen and lunch.
You will hunt until sunset every day or until you get your trophy.

This outfitter hunts taking place in the Sonoran Desert, a beautiful land that extends south from the Arizona border for approximately 600 miles to the Sea of Cortez inland for 100 miles. The soil, plants and weather have combined to insure the rapid growth of large antlers. In our hunts you will be attended by a professional team of skinners and guides, some with up to 25 years experience. You will always be hosted in the most comfortable accommodations and enjoy of a true feasts of the finest Mexican and International cuisine prepared by experienced field cooks who will prepare homemade dinners and freshly bake desert every day

Coues Deer
Coues deer are a unique, small whitetail deer that inhabit rugged mountainous terrain. They are quick and elusive and present a challenging target.

Sonora is home of the Coues whitetail deer. This environment is characterized by elevations of up to 7500 feet, covered by oak and mixed with all types of cacti and "bush brush.” The season generally runs from December through January.

There is nearly a 100% success rate on this hunt, affected only by the hunter's marksmanship and ability.
